About OCD Compass

About me

Hi, I’m Liam! I am from Sheffield, UK, 22 years old, and have recently graduated University after studying Computer Science. I was recently diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and found that whilst information online is plentiful, there is a lot of ambiguity surrounding getting support for OCD, particularly in the UK.

Throughout my journey I have interacted with some organisations and been directed to certain resources that I found particularly useful. I created this website to raise further awareness for these organisations, hopefully pointing people in the right direction to get support for OCD within the UK.

I also use this platform to spread OCD awareness, as the stigma surrounding OCD remains extremely prevalent in society, which can hinder sufferers reaching out to support and accessing the correct resources to begin their recovery. On OCD Compass I share my personal experiences, and personal recommendations to help others affected by OCD.

In future I plan to add book and movie reviews that relate to OCD representation, particularly within the UK.
